PATRIOTIC YOUTH SIERRA LEONE
The Patriotic Youth Sierra
Leone (PY-SL) is a non-religious, non-tribal and non-profit making youth-led
organization established 3rd
October, 2012 at the Eastern part of Freetown. The organization was set-up
after the report of the Sierra Leone conference on development and
transformation that was held at the Miatta Conference Hall on January, 2012
with the theme “Charting the next 50 years forward”.
The mission of the
organization is to see that the youth and the citizens of Sierra Leone respect
and obey the rule of law of the state and to ensure that citizens are empowered
to enjoy their civic human rights and discharge their responsibilities with an
attitude that is conducive to national unity and development.
VISION
The vision of the organization is to be an independent, dynamic and decentralized youth-led organization that provides capacity building and also change the mindset of young people so as to be loyal, honest, transparent and accountable to the state.
